About this site
- The city’s bulky center page says the entrance is off the new Wurzbach Parkway, reached from Jones Maltsberger. An older city guide lists the center at 1800 E. Bitters Road and says the department opened it, with the Frio City Road center, in fiscal 2013.
- The Bitters Brush Recycling Center on the same grounds takes the brush, shrubs, woody vines and paper-bagged leaves the bulky center refuses, Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., charging residents $0.25 for each 20 pounds.
- The department’s monthly household hazardous waste drop-off events are held here from 8 a.m. to noon, on the first Saturday of the month or, in some months, on the first Friday and the Saturday after it.
Rules at every City of San Antonio bulky center
Bitters, Culebra Road, Frio City Road and Rigsby Road share one set of hours, one accepted list and the same residential-only entry rules, which the city publishes once on its Bulky Waste Collection Centers ↗ page; the lists are also in this record’s details. The city’s tarp law covers every city disposal center, Bitters Bulky Waste Collection Center included.
