Mattress Collection Site

San Diego’s free mattress and box spring drop-off at the Miramar Landfill entrance, open on weekdays.

The Mattress Collection Site, on the east side of the Miramar Landfill entrance at 5161 Convoy St., takes mattresses and box springs free, with no limit, through the Bye Bye Mattress program. Its hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed weekends. San Diego has no bulky pickup, so this is the free option. Wet, frozen, soiled or bedbug-infested mattresses are refused and go in the trash.
