What this center takes and what it does not
On a regular day Port Richmond takes the City’s standard list for all six centers: trash, recyclables, yard waste in paper bags, bulk items, appliances, tires, electronics, unwrapped mattresses, latex paint hardened with kitty litter or newspaper, fluorescent bulbs and batteries. Oil-based paint and other household hazardous waste are refused on regular days; bring them to the November 7 event instead. Commercial loads and construction debris are refused.
About this site
The November 7 event is at the center’s own address, 3901 N. Delaware Ave. The City’s hazardous waste events do not take computers; the City sends those to the convenience centers during normal hours, so a computer can come to Port Richmond on any regular open day.
Rules at all six City convenience centers
Only Philadelphia residents with proof of residency may drop off, and commercial loads are refused at every center. The full rules, with the vehicle and daily limits, are kept with the Philadelphia Department of Sanitation.
