West Perrine Trash and Recycling Center

A county drop-off on SW 107th Avenue, one of seven Miami-Dade centers that take flattened cardboard.

West Perrine Trash and Recycling Center sits at 16651 SW 107th Ave in unincorporated Miami-Dade, and its hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. The county names it one of seven trash and recycling centers with year-round bins for flattened cardboard, and lists it for used electronics as well. It is not listed for used motor oil. A mobile home chemical drop-off is set here for October 3, 2026.

Serves: Miami-Dade County trash pickup and drop-off rules.

What this center takes and what it does not

Household trash, tree and yard cuttings, car tires (up to four), appliances, mattresses, electronics and cardboard go here, along with up to 3 cubic yards of construction debris and 3 cubic yards of fence a day. Food and kitchen garbage are refused. It is one of the seven centers where flattened cardboard goes into designated bins year-round, and one of those the county’s service page lists for used electronics. That page does not list it for used motor oil; take oil to one of the centers the county lists for it. After Christmas 2025 the county named it one of 11 centers taking clean natural trees with the decorations off, chipped into mulch for service-area customers.

About this site

The county’s GIS layer of solid waste sites lists the center as county-owned at 16651 SW 107th Ave, ZIP 33157, in unincorporated Miami-Dade, though the address itself reads Miami. The adopted budget places it in County Commission District 9, and the county’s district map agrees. The FY 2025-26 adopted budget and multi-year capital plan carries a $1.941 million program for the center (#2000001363): an entrance sign, a perimeter fence, paving, impact-resistant windows, a used oil collection station, stormwater improvements, larger unloading bays, attendant’s house improvements and electric vehicle charging stations. The department’s FY 2025-26 business plan schedules five charging stations here. In November 2024 the department announced plans to add used oil collection at West Perrine; the service page still does not list oil. A free Home Chemical Drop-off Mobile Event is scheduled here for Saturday, October 3, 2026, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., open to all Miami-Dade residents rather than waste fee customers only, with free paper shredding added for 2026.

Rules at every county center

The centers are for DSWM waste fee customers, and an attendant scans a Florida driver’s license or ID against the address list. Any eligible customer may use any center in the network, not the nearest one. The full rules are on the operator’s listing: Miami-Dade Solid Waste.
