East Valley District Yard

A LASAN district yard in Sun Valley: up to four free tires a year, and bulky item drop-off one Saturday a month.

East Valley District Yard, at 11050 Pendleton Street in Sun Valley, is one of six LA Sanitation & Environment (LASAN) district yards. Its hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., except City holidays. It is also one of five LASAN sites that open for a free bulky item drop-off one Saturday a month, and one of the district offices that sell Extra Capacity Tags.

Serves: Los Angeles trash pickup and drop-off rules.

What this center takes and what it does not

Up to four tires a year per City resident, free, with the rims removed; tires still on rims are not accepted, and neither are tires from commercial tire shops or auto mechanics. On the monthly drop-off Saturdays LASAN accepts furniture, carpet, yard trimmings, shelving and wood. Extra Capacity Tags for overflow trash are sold at the district office here, in the same weekday hours.

About this site

The yard has general and disabled parking, and no public restrooms. Three bulky item drop-off Saturdays are left in 2026: October 10, November 21 and December 12. LASAN’s own pages disagree on when those days end: its bulky item page gives 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., its event calendar 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rules at every LASAN yard

The yards serve residents of the City of Los Angeles, and a tire drop-off needs a state-issued photo ID and a current utility bill. The rules that apply at all of LASAN’s yards and centers are on LA Sanitation.
