North Central District Yard, at 452 N. San Fernando Road, is one of six LA Sanitation & Environment collection yards that take tires from City of Los Angeles residents, and its district office counter sells Extra Capacity Tags for overflow trash. Its hours are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., except City holidays. The yard has general and disabled parking and no public restroom.

What this center takes and what it does not

City residents may leave up to four tires a calendar year here at no charge, with the rims taken off; tires still on rims are turned away, and tires brought by commercial tire shops or auto mechanics are not allowed at residential drop-off sites. Extra Capacity Tags for overflow trash are sold over the counter. The yard is not one of the five monthly bulky-item drop-off sites LASAN lists; the Central LA site for those events is 2201 E. Washington Blvd.
