North Gateway Transfer Station

North Gateway Transfer Station hours run from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Phoenix gives its address as 30205 N. Black Canyon Highway, Phoenix, AZ 85085, and locates it half a mile northeast of Dixileta Drive exit 220.
Serves: Phoenix trash pickup and drop-off rules.
About this site
North Gateway serves the northern side of the city’s transfer system. Its adjoining materials recovery facility sorts collected recyclables into separate streams; the city’s transfer-station page describes machinery separating glass, paper, metal, cardboard and plastic.
For a gently used building-material donation, the same city page identifies a reuse drop-off at 27th Avenue Transfer Station, rather than promising that service at North Gateway. Check the southern site’s accepted items and speak to its scale-house attendant before unloading.
Rules at both Phoenix transfer stations
Consult Phoenix Public Works’ shared transfer-station instructions ↗ for accepted loads, resident identification, charges and holiday closures. The city’s common rules apply here too; keep the load secured until the facility permits unloading.
