Copperas Cove Columbus Day trash collection will run Tuesday through Friday, October 13–16, after city facilities close on Monday, October 12. The closure includes the Solid Waste Transfer Station. The city’s October 1 announcement gives separate area assignments for residential trash and for recycling, brush and bulk. Commercial trash keeps its regularly scheduled collection day.

The third column is not a list of every trash area collected that day. For example, Tuesday’s trash collection serves Areas 1 and 2, while the city lists Area 2 for recycling, brush and bulk. Use the column for the material you are setting out.

Transfer station closure and commercial service

All city facilities, including the Solid Waste Transfer Station, close Monday for the holiday. The notice does not extend the residential timetable to commercial accounts: it explicitly keeps commercial trash on its regular collection day.

For collection questions, the city gives Solid Waste at 254-547-5245. Questions about city-facility closures go to City Hall at 254-547-4221.

The change is local. Our holiday collection guide explains why one city’s closure does not determine another city’s pickup; the Texas hub links official local collection resources.
